We’re looking for a friendly and organised volunteer to help Saffron raise funds by selling donated items through our Vinted page and other appropriate local selling platforms.

Job Title: E-Commerce Volunteer

Reporting To: Office Manager

Location: Hybrid - some tasks may be completed from home

Commitment: Minimum 2hrs per week

We are looking for a volunteer to help Saffron raise funds by selling donated items through our Vinted charity account, appropriate local selling platforms and at Saffron organised clothes swaps or jumble sales.

The volunteer will help turn donated items that Saffron is unable to use directly into valuable fundraising income, while ensuring items are presented attractively, listed accurately and sold in a safe and organised way.

What you could gain from the role

This role provides an opportunity to:

  • Support a local charity and contribute directly to fundraising.

  • Develop or use skills in online selling, photography, copywriting and customer communication.

  • Gain experience of sustainable reuse and fundraising.

  • Work flexibly and independently.

  • Meet and work with the Saffron team and other volunteers.

  • Access to Employee Assistance Programme

Why volunteer with us?

Every item sold helps raise funds towards Saffron's free specialist trauma counselling and psychotherapy for women and girls in Sheffield who have experienced abuse or trauma.

This is a flexible volunteering opportunity, with some activities potentially taking place from home. You don't need previous experience — just enthusiasm, reliability and an interest in online selling, fundraising or sustainable reuse.

Saffron Sheffield is committed to achieving equality of access to its services and employment. A female for this role is a determining occupational requirement and is exempt from discrimination under the Equality Act 2010, Part 1, Schedule 9.
